TruBeauty

This is my first post, yah!! Enjoy!

TruBeauty to me is pleasing GOD.

I know it sounds weird, but when we honor GOD with our clothes and actions we are pleasing him and becoming more beautiful!

GOD wants us to be modest in what we wear.

God also wants us to treat others the way we want to be treated!

What is true beauty to you?

  3. I would be so proud to have a daughter as amazing as you seem. I only hope that my daughters learn to reflect true beauty just as you are. My girls are only 6 and 4 but we are going to follow your blog together. I asked them this question after reading your post and they need a little more explaining. They answered "Selena Gomez and Hannah Montana". Clearly they need a little clarification. Thanks for the opportunity to have a great conversation with my daughters.

Samuel 16:7 In my heart was self hatred that I had to lay down at the foot of the cross, renounce and repent of it and begin the journey of seeing myself as God sees me.

  7. True Beauty is love - demonstrated outwardly and inwardly. Through our actions, our body language, the clothes we wear, the attitude we have exemplifies our beauty.

  8. What a beautiful statement from such a young girl! Its fun to see how proud your dad is of you! I went to school with him! I have four boys but if we would have had a girl we would have named her, Ruby Elizabeth" after my mother-in-law and my mom!

    God loves you for you!

  10. Hey Ruby! This is a great first post! Brigit and I were just talking about honoring God through modesty in our dress as we were shopping for school clothes! :)

I'm glad she has a friend like you alongside of her...especially when the choices you girls will be making as Christians won't always be "popular" or "cool" in the eyes of the world. But I know God will ALWAYS be pleased as you stand firm in your faith!

  11. I love that you have started a blog about a deeper beauty of a female soul - it starts in the heart thoughts and then expressed outwardly. HOw you present your body is how you feel about yourself. This is a very interesting topic that you should continue to encourage other young people and old alike to consider that about themselves.

  15. True beauty is clinging to your faith in Christ even when the world does not agree.
1 Samuel 16:17 says the Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
Stay beautiful by continuing to clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and crazy love for the Lord.
Keep your eyes fixed on him!

  16. Ruby this is awesome and I can not wait to share it with Brooke. We were just talking about this today also as we were shopping and how God looks at our hearts and that is what is most important. I think Beauty is a life that glorifies God in what we say and do by being more like Jesus and drawing others closer to Him. I love that God sees beauty in you and me because He made us and He makes all things beautiful in His time. I love you Ruby and are proud of you! It is obvious your inward beauty is shining on the outside. Julie Clark
